Happy Belated Holidays to all! December brought many joys of the season (debt) to us. We enjoyed a trip to Wrightsville Beach (sharing a bed with Eliza is challenging) with Granddad and Mamilene, Nick and Stephanie. We had beautiful weather, many visits with extended family and even sat on Santa's lap at the beach on Christmas Eve! And Sawyer and I had a 2 week break from school (kid bored, mom out of home improvement projects). But seriously, we all had a nice holiday season and especially loved the time with family.
Dave had his 35th birthday. We had a nice 1 night getaway with some friends in the country. We were lucky to spend the night at a beautiful River House north of Hillsborough. Among the activities: snow (!!), Rock Band - I should really have been the lead singer for Boston, fun baby time with cutie Lily, and walking in the woods. The weekend was topped off with Dave actually firing a shotgun at poor, innocent clay discs. Thanks to Roxanne, Tate and Family.
I have a really good idea for a website. But I have no idea how to get it started. Any ideas?
We're staying in the neighborhood! Some of you may know that we were looking at the possibility of moving to a new neighborhood (see: cookie cutter) in Hillsborough. We were actually about ready to sign and start picking out faucets and formica. Then one day my brother Nick, my friend Daran and Kharma sent me messages suggesting that it would not be a good idea. Dave and I reflected and communicated masterfully and we've decided that our a-little-bit-too-small-house is just about right. And now that I've wiped the gleam of a new house from my eyes, I can see better all that I truly appreciate about this house, this yard, this neighborhood. Sorry, sweet little house.
Hmmmm....simplicity.
Not so simple, is it?
Let's see...what else? Oh, how about a picture...

There, that should do it.
