A few notes about this year's half time show...
Ok, what's not to like? It's like Jimi Hendrix, Little Richard and (the late) James Brown all rolled into one tight little package. Yes he has his own symbol, sure he's a little odd but I personally think that was an awesome half time show. And Prince is one Artist (formerly known as) that I would love see live in concert.
He pulled out some All along the Watchtower which solidified my comparison to Jimi Hendrix. Very nice. And shimmied his way up and down a wet stage...in HEELS (no small feat even for James Brown). No nipple shot necessary. Name one other performer who can don turquoise and mandarin orange, high heel boots and a do-rag and still rock it. "Yeah, I'm wearing a do-rag...jealous?"
And for the record I LOVE marching bands.
Who won the game? Sorry, no clue.

we in the rogerson beede household cannot agree with you more, hal. Rock on *%*, rock on! We love the do rag and respect the manner in which he performed in what appeared from our warm and dry couch to be one hell of a rain storm! The two wild dancers were a bit over the top with the flying hair and overly dramatic stance and faux groping of the Artist (formally), but all in all...bravo brave prince who fearlessly took the stage to dance, scream, sing, and squeal his way into my heart as the best 1/2 time show I can remember. Sing on in your leisure suit..sing on!
you know, it makes me love you people all the more that you have a true appreciation for my man. yes, my man. he was one of my first loves, and i just can't get over him--we're going on 20 years here. adam is aware and accepting. i saw prince in concert a couple of years ago (2nd row!!), and it still takes my breath away if i think about him or that night for too long. he is perfection. very simple. glorious. perfection.
